Durability and demand are different tests for a Bitcoin reserve bill. H.R.8957 would give the reserve a statutory footing and require Treasury to hold government BTC for at least 20 years. My read: that could strengthen policy continuity, but a long holding period is not a buying program. Without purchase authorization, sustained demand would still need to come from elsewhere. #StrategicBTCBillHearing
