Market rules
The Fed interest rate is defined in this market as the upper bound of the target federal funds range. Decisions on the target federal funds range are made by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). This market resolves to the number of basis points by which the upper bound changes after the September 15–16, 2026 FOMC meeting versus its level immediately before that meeting. If the change is not represented by the displayed options, round the absolute size of the change upward in the direction of the change to the nearest 25 basis points and assign it to the relevant bracket (for example, a 12.5-basis-point cut or increase is treated as 25 basis points). The primary resolution source is the FOMC statement released after the meeting, according to the official calendar at https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/fomccalendars.htm. The level and change may also be confirmed at https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/openmarket.htm. This market may resolve as soon as the statement containing the relevant decision is issued. If no statement is released by the end date of the next scheduled FOMC meeting, resolve to the No change bracket.
