How do I place a perpetual contract trade on OKX Australia?

  1. Transfer your USDT from your funding account to your trading account. Select Transfer, select USDT, enter your amount, and confirm.

  2. Once your USDT is in your trading account, select the Trade button in the centre of the main menu.

  3. Select the Futures tab, then select USDT-margined to view the available perpetual pairs. For this walkthrough, we are using BTCUSDT as an example.

  4. This is the trading screen. Before entering an amount, select the leverage button next to Isolated - where it currently shows 2x in the image below.

  5. For this walkthrough, we'll use 1x leverage. Lower leverage generally means your liquidation price is further away, giving you more room if the market moves against your position. Select Confirm.

  6. Enter your position size, then select Buy Long or Sell Short to open a position. You can monitor open positions in the Positions tab and view balances in the Assets tab.
